Choose one sector of the industry that has experienced rapid growth over the past decade. Discuss with examples what you consider to be the major reasons for this growth and how it has affected the industry. Over the last decade there have been significant changes in the travel and tourism industry. The cruise industry is an exciting modern and rapidly expanding global industry. During the current decade, it has continued to expand its capacity and develop new cruising opportunities for vacationers, now offering their customers a wider variety of packages at different lengths and price ranges. This innovation not only makes the life of the passengers but also places a potential increase in the profits made by the cruise companies, as passengers will always have a option of payment accessible to them. Branding is another critical aspect of the cruise industry when it comes to reaching and expanding on market segmentation and â€Å"as the cruise market grows, the need for branding will become even more notable.† (Dowling, K. 2006.
